The Feature Manuscripts section consist of research based submissions that address current practice issues in the field of special education. Feature manuscripts are major articles which make a new contribution to the field of special education. Manuscripts in a variety of categories are solicited. JAASEP seeks to publish original work that describes:
- Quantitative Research
- Qualitative Research
- Mixed Method Empirical Research
- Applied Research
- Case Studies
- Experimental Studies
- Correlational Studies
- Data-Supported Reports of Interventions, Strategies, and Programs
- Literature Reviews
Manuscripts on these, as well as additional types of research, will be accepted at any time.
Feature Manuscripts should follow the guidelines of fifth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA, 2001). When research from other individuals is included in the manuscript, it must be properly cited in accordance with the American Psychological Association Manual (5th edition).
All articles are refereed by at least two experts in the field of special education. Accepted manuscripts may be revised for clarity, organization and length. The Editorial Board of JAASEP reserves the right to suggest revisions, changes and corrections and to decide the final acceptance and publication schedule of accepted manuscripts.
