About the AASEP Monitor

In order to keep up to date with the most current information in the field of special education, AASEP provides its members with the AASEP Monitor.  At a minimum of six times a year, AASEP members receive this electronic news service of all the latest information in the field of special education. 

 
The AASEP Monitor is available to all paid members of the American Academy of Special Education Professionals (AASEP).  The AASEP Monitor:

  • informs readers of the latest issues in special education
  • challenges readers about some of the most critical issues in special education
  • is both practical and reader-friendly

Professional Corner - This section is where you, the special education professional, let us know how you solved a difficult problem with students, administrators or parents.

Useful Web Sites for Special Educators - Each issue of the AASEP Monitor will have web sites that are very useful for research, writing or just for obtaining general information

Parents Page - The AASEP Monitor will have a section for you to get information or copy information for parents who have children with special needs

AASEP encourages every reader to share his or her knowledge and experience, and to offer creative solutions to the full range of issues facing special education professionals today. Through your direct participation and that of your colleagues, AASEP can provide the most relevant and timely information concerning individuals with special needs.
